RoboForm Everywhere Free Giveaway

RoboForm is a powerful choice for a password manager. Its features make it an obvious one for our best password manager list with inexpensive rates and solid security to back it up. Even so, this password manager may have too much power, presenting an overabundance of options that won’t be relevant to the majority of users.
In this RoboForm review, we’re going to cover everything this password manager brings to the table. We’ll talk features, pricing, user-friendliness, security and support, then give our verdict on who should pick it up.
Before we dive in, you should note that a password manager won’t save you from weak passwords. You can learn about how to setup a strong password with our password generator to make sure none of your online accounts are compromised.

Features

88% - Very Good
RoboForm has all the key features we like to see from a password manager. Outside of password storage, the application stores credit cards, notes, identities, contacts, bookmarks and non-browser applications. It doesn’t have the depth of 1Password (read our 1Password review), but the list should suffice for most.
The interesting inclusion of the lot is bookmark storage. As long as RoboForm is installed, you can access your browser bookmarks on any device. Most modern browsers sync bookmarks anyway, but it’s there if you need it.
We like that RoboForm allows you to share all of this data, as well. You can share single items or an entire folder with another user, so long as they have RoboForm installed and you have matching RSA keys.

Strengths & Weaknesses

Pros:
  • Inexpensive
  • Lots of features
  • Offline access
  • Emergency contacts
  • Multi-device sync
Cons:
  • May be too much for newbies
  • Difficult to use support

RoboForm has applications for Windows, Mac, Linux and, surprisingly, Chrome OS. Mobile versions are available for Android and iOS as well with full, automatic multi-device sync. It also works on all major browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Opera.
The browser extension provides a quick look at your vault, but is mainly used for auto-fill and password capture. RoboForm’s main method of adding passwords is capturing them as you log in to sites, but browser and .csv import are available.
RoboForm comes with storage space, unlike Password Depot (read our Password Depot review), but you can opt for local-only storage. While it’s not recommended, it opens up the possibility of offline access to your RoboForm data, which will sync across devices whenever you connect again.
Overall, we’re impressed by the beef RoboForm brings to the table. The feature set is useful in practice without too many features making the system overly complicated. We’d like to see batch password features like Dashlane has (read our Dashlane review), but this is true of nearly all password managers.
